Our society is a noisy place where most people find happiness being with other people, whether it be their partner, friends, or family. But aside from these people, there is a less populated kind of species among them. These are the people who find happiness by being alone, where they can use the time quietly to reenergize themselves and be in peace. These people who love spending time alone are often “the weird ones” in society, so there are things only they understand and love.
1. Plans to get cancelled.
When making plans with friends, it can be quite difficult for you to reject them, so you just agree to hang out with them reluctantly, but you know the happiness when your friends are busy on that day or for any other reason, causing the whole plan to be cancelled. It is just the best thing in the world.
2. Checking your phone and there’s no notification.
For people who love spending time alone, not only do real-life conversations bore you, even conversations through social media are nightmares to you. Every day you wish that when you turn on your phone, you’ll see no notifications or message that you have to reply, you will feel relieved knowing there is no one that you have to talk to.
3. Someone not seeing you when they walked past.
Small talks are your worst enemies. You just can’t stand beside someone and talk about the most boring conversation about how their day is going. You’d rather people not noticing you in public when you see them than getting noticed by them, and getting trapped in small talks with them.
4. Being the first person in the house to get home.
Being the first one to get home means you get your own personal, quiet, private space where you can do anything you want without needing to inform your family or your housemates about how your day was or any other boring conversation.
5. People not bothering you when you sit alone.
Our society often labels people who are by themselves as a loner and are these people are made fun of most of the time. But there are times where you are sitting all by yourself where no one is giving you strange looks or just having their attention on you.
6. Non-crowded restaurants.
You don’t get why many restaurants or coffee shops are noisy and crowded, which makes you feel drained. You’d rather go to a place where not many people are there and have a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, just so you can be in comfort all by yourself.
7. Silence, so your brain can talk.
Being in a noisy place is like an earthquake in your head. It is difficult for you to think straight and it might even make you more stressed than you already were. A quiet place where you can be by yourself is possibly the best therapy for you when you are not feeling well so you can listen clearly as to what your brain is speaking.
8. Places where you can sit alone without getting judged.
What’s better than a place where you can be by yourself and not getting judged by people around you? Think of places like a library, a quiet café, parks, anywhere where you can be alone in peace.
9. The end of a conversation.
Getting in a conversation isn’t the worst thing that can happen in your life, but when a conversation ends, it feels like the best thing in your life. You can finally return to your life all by yourself and perhaps slowly analyze what conversation you had just now, just because you need a free space to think.
10. A free weekend all by yourself.
What a great Saturday to wake up where there are no classes to attend, no work to do, no events to get to, nothing to do, just a free weekend for you to do whatever you want, best yet alone! You can finally work on that project you’ve been wanting to, or that book you’ve been wanting to read, or watching that certain movie.
If you are a person who loves being alone, are these situations you can relate to as well?
