We all have been in moments where we just don’t know what is happening in our lives. We just go on every day with the same routine, sleeping, eating, working, doing chores, all the daily routine, but life seemed to have lost its meaning. It felt like something you once dreamed of is far away, difficult for you to reach for it. If this is what you are experiencing right now, it’s not too late to get yourself out of this dreadful moment and bring meaning into your life again.
1. Recall your childhood.
When you were young, your thoughts are not as complicated as they are now, and all you think about are the things you love to do and hope to do. Growing up and becoming an adult, your thoughts are influenced by your surroundings. Thinking back at your childhood will make you recall what your dreams are and will motivate you to do work towards them.
2. Don’t stop whatever you’re currently doing.
As much as you’d like to stop living your current life and get a new life, it is a terrible idea. As adults we have responsibilities, and we need to do what we are doing right now every day to keep our lives on track. Plus, if continue living your current life, who knows if you will find something you like about it.
3. Journaling.
Whether you do it physically or digitally, journaling is definitely a good way for you to write your deepest thoughts down, and writing things down will make you take more attention to it. You will be more aware of what you really want in your life if you write it down, and therefore it will motivate you to go after it.
4. Share it with someone who knows you well.
Sometimes, a good old friend or a parent or something you’re close to is all you need to make you feel better. Sharing your feelings with someone is helpful when you need someone else’s opinion. They might have been in your situation before, and so getting them to tell you how they cope with being in such a situation will make you make better decisions.
5. Meditate.
Aside from sharing your feelings with others, it is important to share them with yourself. Our lives are so busy we rarely have the time to just be by ourselves, letting the words flow in our head and find out what we truly, deeply, want for ourselves. Taking time to meditate will help your thoughts get in your head so that you can understand yourself better.
6. Try new things.
Step out of your comfort zone. Do things you wouldn’t normally do or try doing something in a different way. As much as we thought we know ourselves well, in actual we are all mysteries to ourselves. By trying new things, we are giving ourselves opportunities to get to know ourselves better. Try eating in the new restaurant, change up your style, or join a workout class with your friends. Who knows what you might like?

Inspiring articles and books are created for a reason. The authors behind them had been through the position you are facing currently, or maybe even worst. The articles or books they wrote tells the story of how they got out of a dreadful life and find meaning in their life, and that you can do it too. Try reading some articles online, or read books written by famous people.

Exploring new places will get you out of your comfort zone. Maybe being too much in your comfort zone is making you feel like life is not as meaningful you once thought it was. Being in a new place will position you in a new environment that you did not plan for, and this will trigger your brain to come up with different ideas and thoughts on being in that place, increasing your creativity.

This will keep your creative juices going.
