It is a common saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Whether is it true or not, having a healthy breakfast will be more beneficial for your body than having junk or fast food for breakfast. As diet plays a big role in your health, it is crucial to feed your body with the right kind of food. There are so many options you can eat for breakfast, such as toast with toppings or scrambled eggs, but sometimes you just want to change things up so that you will not get sick of certain food. So, here are 6 healthy breakfast ideas to start your morning the right way.

1. A warming bowl of oatmeal

Oatmeal is one of the healthiest foods you can eat for breakfast. It is high in fibre, it can help lower high blood pressure, and also keep your weight in a healthy range. You can cook oatmeal with milk or just hot water, and when it is done cooking, you can top with whatever you desire: fruits, nuts, spices, spreads, even vegetables would work too. The possibilities are endless. Here are 5 oatmeal ideas you can try out for the weekdays!


2. A fresh fruit bowl

Fruits are healthy and delicious, and best of all refreshing. If you are not feeling like eating but still want to eat something in the morning before your work or school, you can try out this idea. You don’t even need to cook anything. Simply mix any fruits of choice, top up with some toppings, such as nuts and seeds, and you have a delicious bowl of fruity breakfast!


3. A fancy yogurt parfait

A yogurt parfait is a great way to replace unhealthy premade fruit flavoured yogurt, which is usually filled with sugar and many other preservatives. Getting plain yogurt or Greek yogurt is much healthier and cheaper, and best of all, you can eat it with any kind of fruits you like! You decide the flavour!


4. An easy smoothie bowl

Smoothies are possibly one of the easiest recipes to make. You basically dump all the fruits, vegetables, milk, and other flavouring of choice into a blender and blend them together, and there you have a healthy drink for the morning that taste so much better than soda or grocery bought fruit juices! Even though it is just liquid, the thickness of smoothies will definitely fill you up until the afternoon.


5. An appetizing breakfast salad

Who says you can’t eat salad for breakfast? In fact, it is actually recommended that you eat more vegetables in the morning! The thing about salad is, it is not limited to just boring vegetables and tasteless dressings. You can add fruits to your salad to make them taste much sweeter without those unhealthy dressings! You can also make it higher in protein with eggs or chicken! If you prefer something more unique, you can even go for beans and nuts in your salad!


6. A comforting chia seed pudding

Chia seed is another healthy food that has so many health benefits. They are high in omega fats, fibre, proteins, and so much more nutrients. A small amount is enough to provide a large number of nutrients for your daily intake. Making it could not be simpler, you basically add milk or water to your chia seed and keep them overnight in the fridge, and come morning just top them off with whatever toppings you like!


So these are the 6 breakfast in a bowl that you can eat for 6 days in the week to make start your day right and healthy!
